Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 17, 2026
Welcome to HAMS (“HAMS”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). HAMS is a privacy-focused communication application designed for calling mobile and landline numbers worldwide and for app-to-app communication through voice calls, messaging, voice messages, file sharing and video calling.
This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, processed, stored and protected when you use the HAMS Android application, website and related services. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use HAMS.
1. Information You Provide
Depending on how HAMS is configured and which features you use, you may provide information such as an email address, username or display name, profile information, support requests, and other information you choose to submit through the service.
2. Communication and Service Data
To provide communication features, HAMS may process information necessary to route and deliver calls, messages, voice messages, video sessions and files. This may include call or session metadata such as time, duration, destination, connection status or similar operational information. Communication content is processed only as required to provide the feature being used and according to the technical design of the service.
3. Device and Technical Information
HAMS may process limited technical information required to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service, such as app version, device type, operating-system version, IP/network information, connection information, crash information and diagnostic data.
4. App Permissions
HAMS may request Android permissions that are necessary for features you choose to use, including:
- Microphone — for voice calls, video calls and voice messages.
- Camera — for video calling and related camera features.
- Contacts — where enabled, to help you find or call contacts.
- Photos, media or files — when you choose to send or receive files or media.
- Notifications — for incoming calls, messages and service alerts.
- Phone/calling permissions — where technically required for HAMS calling functionality.
You can manage supported permissions through your Android device settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working.
5. Private Number and Caller-ID Presentation
HAMS is designed to support privacy-focused calling. Caller-ID presentation, including presentation as “Private Number”, may depend on the destination carrier, telecom provider, country or jurisdiction, network capabilities and service configuration. HAMS does not guarantee that every destination network will display the same caller-ID status.
6. How We Use Information
Information may be used to provide and maintain HAMS features, route communications, authenticate or manage accounts, improve reliability, prevent fraud, spam or abuse, troubleshoot technical problems, provide customer support, protect users and the service, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
7. Service Providers and Third Parties
HAMS may rely on telecom carriers, cloud or hosting providers, push-notification services, infrastructure providers and other technical service providers needed to deliver app functionality. These providers may process limited information as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are subject to their own legal and contractual obligations.
8. Data Retention
We aim to retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, prevent abuse, resolve disputes and comply with applicable legal or regulatory requirements. Different categories of information may have different retention periods.
9. Account and Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your HAMS account and associated user data through our User Data Deletion page. We will process valid deletion requests subject to information that must be retained for applicable legal, regulatory, fraud-prevention, security or dispute-resolution purposes.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the service and information being processed. However, no internet, mobile or telecommunications service can guarantee absolute security.
11. International Processing
Because HAMS supports worldwide communications, information may be processed by infrastructure or service providers located in countries different from your own. Where required, such processing is handled in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.
12. Children’s Privacy
HAMS is not intended for children below the minimum age required to use the service under applicable law. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children who are not legally permitted to use the service.
13. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights relating to your personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or other information about processing. You may contact us to submit an applicable privacy request.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when HAMS features, legal requirements or our data practices change. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
